I can see why misinterpreting the cat’s behavior is anthropomorphizing, but I don’t see what’s wrong with finding it cute? I mean, sucks for the mouse obviously (and if that was my cat I would probably scoop the mouse up with a bucket and put it outside so it didn’t have to suffer excessive cat torture). But the cat engaging in normal, healthy hunting behavior is still cute? I mean, it’s not like it’s significantly different from the cute things they do with their toys. It’s not like we can reasonably expect cats to conform to human ethics.

I like this response. If you are acknowledging that the cat is doing what comes naturally and the mouse is terrified and still are comfortable calling it cute - which many people wouldn’t be - then more power to you. I think it’s fine to find animals participating in natural behaviors endearing, even if they’re unpleasant, as long as you accept what is truly going.

“wait dude isnt it Ramadan” 

and bodhi just keeps working and says monotonously “I have 2 hours and 37 minutes before the sun rises” before downing the rest of the mug and handing it over to cassian to refill.
